The national cabinet is meeting this morning to discuss easing lockdown restrictions in an effort to restart the flailing economy. Consideration for relaxations will be given to the hospitality sector and personal care services, many of which were forced to shut their doors or move to alterative means of business. The cabinet will also look at easing restrictions on indoor gatherings including church services, cinemas and sport and recreational activities. There is an expectation that any action will be carried out in gradual stages and likely with a four-week lag between major changes to ensure health services can manage any potential second wave of the virus.
