The US Coast Guard rescued three people on February 9 whom it said had been stranded on Anguilla Cay, an island in the Bahamas, for 33 days. The three people were initially spotted by a Coast Guard aircraft on a routine patrol on February 8 while “waving a makeshift flag”. Food, water, and a radio were dropped to the trio before they were rescued a day later. This footage shows a helicopter from Coast Guard Air Station Clearwater in Florida rescuing the two men and one woman. They were first transported Lower Keys Medical Center, then transferred to US Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Credit: DVIDS via Storyful
