Utah transportation officials warned drivers of dangerous mountain road conditions in northern Utah on Friday, February 5, due to persistent snowfall. Footage released by the Utah Department of Transportation Cottonwood Canyons shows vehicles driving on slick roads in reduced visibility. “Roads are holding wet in lower canyons, with slush and snow mid to upper canyons,” the department tweeted. “Drive with caution, the #TractionLaw is in effect.” The National Weather Service expected the storm to impact northern Utah into Saturday morning by creating hazardous travel along high elevation routes.
