Queensland Deputy Premier Steven Miles says it’s been a “bumper weekend” for the state’s tourism operators. Mr Miles said 75,000 people flew into Cairns which has been struggling due to previous border restrictions. “It’s been a busy weekend in the Central Queensland region,” he said. “The Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast were very busy as well.”
