New South Wales Treasurer Dominic Perrottet says the state can handle its own hotel quarantine despite some other states calling for assistance from the federal government. “We’ve been handling it I think pretty well,” he said. “It’s more of a service delivery arm that I think is probably better looked after by the states. “Obviously with our hotel quarantine program we’re working very closely with health and police. “I would have thought that would have been more of an issue the state governments would take ownership of. “If states need to tweak their hotel quarantine accordingly then they should but it’s been incredibly successful for the state of NSW and around the country in keeping people safe”.
