The fatal shooting of 16-year-old Ma’Khia Bryant by police is “very different to Daunte Wright” but should still be treated as a tragic loss of life, according to Sky News contributor Michael Ware. “The police are obviously doing an investigation, no one’s been charged yet, that’s a much tougher case and it’s also just as heartbreaking,” he told Sky News. “This was the shooting death of a 16-year-old girl, no matter how you look at it that’s a tragedy.” Mr Ware said Ma’Khia Bryant was “posing a real threat” to others at her foster home as she threatened other girls with a knife but shooting her may not have been the answer. “Were there other options to address the threat of her violence, that’s a question that’s playing out right now," he said.
