There are reports President Joe Biden is 'seriously considering' appointing Caroline Kennedy as the United States ambassador to Australia. The daughter of late President John F. Kennedy previously served as the US Ambassador to Japan under President Barack Obama. She endorsed President Biden early in his 2020 election campaign and spoke at last year's Democratic National Convention on his behalf. There are also reports Vicki Kennedy, widower of the former President's brother Ted Kennedy, will be appointed an ambassadorship role.
