Heavy rain caused flash flooding in the Detroit Metro area on Friday afternoon, July 16, falling at a rate of one inch per hour in some parts of the region, the National Weather Service (NWS) said. Footage shared on Twitter shows a vehicle driving on a flooded road in Detroit on Friday afternoon. “I’m pretty sure I’m about to see Noah’s Ark floating down my street any minute now,” the uploader joked.
