Taliban one of the ‘chief assets’ in eliminating terrorist groups in Afghanistan

Former Defence Official and Ministerial Adviser Tyson Sara says the Taliban are going to be one of the “chief assets” in the mission to eliminate terrorist groups in Afghanistan . “It's going to be a real challenge getting into that landlocked, difficult-to-penetrate country like Afghanistan to do those intelligence-led operations,” Mr Sara told Sky News Australia. “The Taliban have no desire to be a safe haven for terrorists ... they saw what happened last time. “I think they will be one of the chief assets in this really topsy-turvy situation to eliminate those terrorist networks in Afghanistan.”
