‘Absolutely no doubt’ Palaszczuk won’t open Queensland’s borders over Christmas

Sky News Queensland Editor Peter Gleeson says Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk “got pretty fired up” in Thursday’s media conference. The Premier has fired back at criticism of the state's tough border stance, saying she is "sick of it". “She was being questioned about what the Queensland roadmap out of this particular lockdowns and border closure would entail,” Mr Gleeson told Sky News Australia. “The way that this is shaping, there is absolutely no doubt that the premier will not be opening the borders to Queensland over Christmas because her one KPI with the electorate in Queensland is that she keeps the Delta variant out of the state. “And that’s her major goal and that’s her major aim.”
