NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian has said the definition of a close contact will be changed once the state reaches its vaccination targets and begins to reopen. The premier further maintained the responsibility will be on individuals and businesses to enforce regulations around allowing vaccinated people to attend venues and stores. Businesses will still be required to shut down for deep cleaning and contacts required to isolate for 14 days after the state reaches its 70 and 80 per cent double dose targets.
