As the cricketing world waits to hear from South African star wicketkeeper Quinton de Kock, there's already speculation where he could end up if his international career is ended by his stance at the T20 World Cup. It comes as Mr de Kock withdrew just before the start of a T20 world cup match against the West Indies on Tuesday – citing “personal reasons”. The decision came hours after Cricket South Africa (CSA) instructed the team to adopt “a consistent and united stance against racism” by taking the knee prior to the start of their remaining World Cup matches. The Daily Telegraph is reporting at least one Big Bash team has made contact with de Kock's management, with a view to him playing in the tournament this summer. De Kock's immediate playing future remains up in the air after he withdrew from Tuesday night's game against the West Indies in defiance to a Cricket South Africa directive that players 'take a knee' before the game to highlight social equality. While it sparked widespread condemnation, there's many who prefer to delay any judgement until they hear form the man himself. It's understood he's remained with the team and will release a statement soon – but teams like England remain steadfast that they will continue to make a unified stance against racism.
