Crowd of 5,500 spectators approved for Derby Day

A fully vaccinated crowd of 5,500 spectators has been approved to attend Derby Day - the opening event of Flemington's four-day Melbourne Cup carnival. As part of the restrictions, patrons will be divided into separate zones with dedicated entrances, allocated seats and no standing for food or drinks. Masks will be mandatory and racegoers will be required to prove their vaccination status.
