Former NSW Transport Minister Andrew Constance says it is his time to step down from state parliament to run for federal parliament. Mr Constance announced on Sunday he will quit state parliament to run for the federal seat of Gilmore. “I’ve still got a burning desire within me and there’s a lot of things I want to get out there and fight for, particularly local level,” Mr Constance told Sky News Australia. “I don’t think anyone can question my determination in politics and certainly in terms of the Nationals seat, I have a very significant focus in on local infrastructure.”
