Passengers encountered long lines at airports across the US ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday, as seen in footage filmed on Tuesday, November 23. Video taken by traveler Michael Madelle shows the scene at a security checkpoint in Florida’s Orlando International Airport. “If you’re traveling for the holidays you better get to the airport absurdly early,” he wrote in a caption. “It’s 6 am and the line for security at MCO is backed up to ticketing. Expected wait is three-plus hours. I had to reschedule my flight from 6 am to 2.” A record number of people have been traveling by air, with 2,200,000 people screened at US airport checkpoints on November 19 alone, WPLG reported.
