WA Opposition Leader Mia Davies says the state’s health system is in “crisis” at a time when it needs to be operating at full capacity. It comes as an independent inquiry has released a report on the death of seven-year-old Aishwarya Aswath at Perth Children’s Hospital. The girl died after waiting two hours for treatment at the hospital. “The reality is that there’s been red flags for the WA health system for five years,” Ms Davies told Sky News host Paul Murray. “We have such low morale within our health workforce at the moment because of the under-resourcing and because they are being asked to do so much with so little.”
