‘Window of opportunity’ for China to act on Taiwan could close: Molan

NSW Senator and retired Major General Jim Molan says there are indications America is "not confident" a war in the Taiwan Strait could be resolved "to their own satisfaction". "That is, they can lose, that's a nice way of saying they can lose," he told Sky News host Catherine McGregor. "My view is that if - and it's a big if - if the American federal budget for defence gets through in the next couple of days ... and the Americans start building things, if ours gets through, and AUKUS is seen, and the Quad comes together, the Chinese might see that the window of opportunity for them to act is closing."
