Two sisters found a way to entertain themselves and keep cool during the heat wave in Vancouver, British Columbia, by yelling into a fan to make “robot voices” on Sunday, June 27. The highest known temperature in Canada – 46.6 C (115.8 F) – was recorded in Lytton, British Columbia, on Saturday, Environment Canada reported, as an unprecedented heat wave hit the Pacific Northwest. Local news reports said school districts in British Columbia, including in the Vancouver area, closed schools on Monday due to the heat and lack of air-conditioning. Video filmed by Alex Ruiz of her two daughters Tahlia, 6, and Alaya, 4, shows the girls yelling into a fan in order to create distorted sounds. Credit: Alex Ruiz via Storyful
