Japan has expanded its state of emergency to four more provinces as COVID-19 infections spread at a high rate. Under the move, new orders have been issued for the city of Osaka and neighbouring areas. Measures in the Olympic host city, Tokyo, will also be extended until at least the end of August. The country recorded 3,300 infections in the last 24 hours, doubling since last week, but authorities insist the rise is not related to the Olympic Games.
